A/C – Air Conditioning Repair
Without regular maintenance, your vehicle’s A/C system can lose about 5% of its original efficiency per year. This means that without proper upkeep, your air conditioning may be performing as poorly as other cars years older! Luckily, you can recover most of that lost efficiency by getting your air conditioner serviced ASAP and sticking to a maintenance schedule. Whether your A/C unit needs to be recharged, or you have a faulty condenser or computer issue, our techs can take care of it, and get you back on the road quickly.
Brake Inspection, Service & Repair
Bad brakes display warning signs for impending brake maintenance and repairs, such as squealing, grinding, pulling, and lack of resistance when you push down on the brake pedal. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, do not put yourself or your passengers at risk by driving with failing brakes. Our technicians are skilled in maintaining and servicing front and rear brake systems and all accompanying brake system components, including brake pads, brake shoes, parking brakes, rotors, drums, and hydraulic systems.
Diagnostics
If your check engine light is on or you are experiencing any type of drivability issues, your next step should be to seek out an engine diagnostic service. Engine diagnostics allow our technicians to gather helpful information about the operating condition of your vehicle and determine the extent of auto repairs you need. Basically, answering the questions: “Why is my check engine light on?” and/or “What is wrong with my car?”, our technicians are skilled diagnosticians who can pinpoint the issue(s) causing problems for your vehicle.
Electrical Repairs
Modern automotive electrical systems can cause perplexing issues that are not easy to identify or fix quickly and accurately. However, with years of experience and proven auto electrical know-how, our auto repair technicians can solve any electrical problem, no matter how challenging. From a misfiring starter to repeat dead battery to dimming headlights, we can troubleshoot and repair all types of auto electrical malfunctions. So, if your vehicle’s wires are “crossed”, give Allen’s Auto a call, and we will get them straightened out.
Suspension Repairs
Excessive bouncing or swaying during bumps and intermittent control while driving and braking are cause for a suspension system inspection. Uneven tire wear is also a potential sign of a suspension problem. Because suspension system components combine into one working unit, untreated suspension issues have the potential to increase the wear on other suspension components, which may result in more extensive repairs down the road. So, do not hesitate to call Allen’s Auto if you suspect your suspension system needs service.
Vermont State Inspections
If you live and drive in Vermont, you must have your vehicle inspected annually, by a state-approved auto repair shop or inspection station. Allen's Automotive is a licensed Vermont State Inspection Station and is ready to perform your inspection, as well as any necessary preventive maintenance on your vehicle. If you fail to have your vehicle inspected, you could be fined and/or towed; if you have recently purchased a vehicle or you are due for an inspection, do not wait.
