Allen’s Automotive was established in 1977 in West Rutland, Vermont, by the Allen family. Over the next 40+ years, the shop built a strong reputation as a trusted local auto repair shop, known for honest service, quality workmanship, and dependable results for drivers throughout Rutland County and surrounding Vermont communities.
In 2017, Brian Notte, an experienced automotive technician with over two decades in the industry, purchased Allen’s Automotive—continuing its legacy while bringing modern expertise to a well-established hometown shop. His goal was simple: combine advanced diagnostic knowledge and dealership-level experience with the personal, customer-first approach of a local mechanic.

Before purchasing Allen’s Automotive, Brian Notte spent over 20 years in dealership service departments, gaining advanced training in modern diagnostics, repair, and automotive technology. That experience gave him the expertise to work on today’s increasingly complex vehicles—and showed him what the industry often lacked: a more personal, customer‑focused approach.
After two decades in the dealership world, Brian set out to blend high‑level technical skill with the honest, community‑driven feel of a hometown repair shop. When the opportunity to take over Allen’s Automotive came along, it was the perfect match.
